Phaedrus Estate

Phaedrus Estate was established at the end of 1997, just as the owners/ wine-makers were completing their wine-making degrees with the University of Adelaide. Although Maïtèna and Ewan had worked for large wineries they realised this was not for them as they wanted complete control in all levels of wine making. So they threw caution to the wind and started their own label! The wines made under the Phaedrus label have been available in various Melbourne and Sydney restaurants, cafes and bottle shops since late 1998.
