Flower: In summer small light purple flowers are produced but are of little interest as they are hidden in the dense foliage as are the small blue-black berries that follow

Growth Habits: evergreen clump forming perennials

Light: Prefers sun to partial shade, and fertile, well drained soil Watering Needs: Water when soil is dry. Somewhat drought tolerant.

Treatment: May be fertilized during warm months, but seldom needs encouragement
