Carex Testacea

Description: Hardy and colourful clump-forming New Zealand native grass with olive-green to orange-yellow foliage that turns bright orange in Autumn. Carex testacea is a tough plant adaptable to most soils in full sun. Tolerant of coastal, cold, dry and windy conditions.

Tolerances: It is hardy to drought and salt winds. It needs an open situation in full sun to maintain its colour.



Treatment: For best results prune down 5cm occasionally to renew. Plant into free draining soil. Mulch with pebbles or leaf litter.
