Bergenia 'Bressingham White'
Description: Commonly known as elephant's ears, because of their large, leathery, oval leaves, bergenias have become fashionable again, thanks both to the number of new cultivars that have become widely available and to their usefulness in the garden.

Rate of growth: Average to fast
Height: 30cm tall by 30cm wide. Use 3 plants per square yard.
Foliage: Evergreen rounded leaves
Flower: Pure white flowers in spring above handsome clumps of rounded green foliage.
Growth Habits: Nice along border edges or as groundcover between shrubs. Glossy leathery leaves used as foliar accents in arrangements. Light: Sun to partial shade.
Watering Needs: Keep moist but avoid over watering.
Treatment: After flowering remove faded flower heads. Cut off damaged foliage in spring. Lift and divide large clumps in early spring. Evergreen leaves may need trimmed in spring if winter-damaged.
